Contact Admin. I have been to several beaches in Costa Rica and am very diaturbed by the scene in Playas del Coco. This town is NOT a place where you would want to bring your family or have a romantic getaway. It is like the red light district in Bangkok!
I will never recommend this horrible place and can't wait to leave tomorrow I am currently here. Do yourself a favor and go to Samara or Montezuma instead. Tis place is overpriced and devoid of morals! Thanks for the warning - sleeze is exactly why I would never visit Vegas either!!! Do not know why more people are not offended! If they wanna have that it is ok , but please do not make everyone a party to it by having it on the street! Are there male prostitutes too?
I would guess not. I am not keen on the double standards either! I am hoping you are not correct framptonian on saying all of cr is like that. I am sure it is not! My wife and I just got back from Playa Hermosa last week. We went into Coco on a Sunday for dinner and saw some activity of this sort. We went back on Friday afternoon and walked on the beach. We also watched the sunset and had a beer at the casino. There was no dancer at the casino that night.
We saw no problems Friday afternoon. There There were many local families playing on the beach and watching the sunset. There were also a lot of skateboard kids doing tricks on the walk near the beach. We did not feel threatened and were not approached by anyone. It was just my wife and I. We had an ice on the beach and bought a bag of donuts from a street vendor. It is nice in the daytime. Maybe it gets dodgy in the evening. I would not condemn this place at all times. Maybe go during the day time and stay away at night.
