Another slaps her bottom as she takes off her jeans. Despite some progress at the federal and state level, municipal police across the country remain notorious for abuses including the torture of suspects, human rights groups say.
Authorities said the woman, who is in her 30s, had been arrested on suspicion of robbery and was known to local officers, having once been married to a policeman in the city. The video recorded in March was released to the media on Sunday by a disgruntled officer who was annoyed with his superiors for making him work late, police said. The man was among the officers suspended pending an investigation.
