Please try again later. Writer seems to be attempting to do a noir story. It doesn't work. The language is stilted to the point some coherence is lost at points, like words were wedged in because they sound good, even though they make a sentence nonsensical.
Paragraph breaks are not consistent. Sometimes dialogue is broken into paragraphs, other times conversations between people runs through paragraphs unbroken. Lastly the formatting is weak. Double spacing between paragraphs and unjustified text makes for eye strain.
If it was edited properly, or even if it has been passed though a ready group first a lot of those problem would have been caught.
