I haven't seen a prostitute on 12th in years but this morning there she was, short skirt and thigh highs working her trade.
While I have an open mind towards prostitution, I don't like Street prostitution. It's very dangerous for the sex workers and the elements it attracts is quite negative. Has anyone seen a resurgence of Street prostitution in New West?
It used to be really bad in that area, but was displaced up in to Burnaby. Or is this a one off occurrence? I wouldn't call it a resurgence, but I have noticed once or twice a month a prostitute working a corner along 12th somewhere. It's a little difference compared to when I first moved out here, and was pretty rampant.
I have a hard time picturing prostitution on 12th Street. Maybe you mean down by the Terminal Pub and all the car lots? Nope, this was up and down 12th in the late 90's. Yup, it's scummy, not quite as bad as Edmonds Street just over in Burnaby but quite similar.
